Figuring Me Out

Figuring Me Out

Sometimes, as women we get lost in our relationships... lost in all the roles we assume on a daily basis. I know I've posted a couple of times recently about who I am and perhaps you all are getting tired of reading about my process of figuring me out, but ...

Potty Training? Um, No.

Potty Training? Um, No.

Zoe has developed a nasty little habit. She will "boo boo" and then decide immediately that she wants nothing to do with her diaper. So she takes it off. Imagine a 20 month old professional climber making her way up the side of my executive desk with a huge grin ...

There Snow Place Like Home

There Snow Place Like Home

Yesterday morning, it started snowing... well flurry-ing... In Louisiana, that's a major deal. We can just about run around in shorts all winter. It gets cold for about 10 minutes and then it's summer all of a sudden. There's no fall and no spring. LOL Here is a photo of ...

Fibromyalgia, Tumors, and Me

Fibromyalgia, Tumors, and Me

I've had a surprising amount of dialog lately about Fibromyalgia. I have to say it's refreshing to have so many people know what it is... and relate to me. Being diagnosed 18 years ago, I grew up accepting that I had a disorder that no one understood - that many ...

I am starting to realize

Everyone has stresses; everyone’s struggle is different, but everyone has a struggle. Money does not solve your problems. A nice house does not solve your problems. An expensive car does not solve your problems. The American Dream does not make you happy. You look at people that are in the position you wish you could be in, and you think that would make you happy, but once you are around those people, you realize that your status has not changed but you are no longer jealous because even though their stresses are different than your stresses, their struggle is much stronger than your struggle.

Next time you start to feel depressed about your place in life, and you try to imagine life in someone else’s shoes, stop to realize that everyone has stresses; Becoming the American Dream is a make or break situation. If you are not right in the Lord, you may lose the stresses you had previously, but you will only modify your struggle. It metamorphosizes into a new struggle, which merely replaces your old one. If you have something to offer society but you do live in the Word, you will only be burdens by Satans many struggles because you will be more of a tool to him. If you are right in the Spirit, the Lord will use you, He will guide you and involve you and even may close some doors to you. But that doesn’t mean he won’t open a window.

It may not be your time right now… He may still be working on you, but eventually you will smell the sweet sweet presence of Him. And you will walk out into a whole new world, knowing you are protected, and loved, and confident that you will NEVER be alone again. Your struggle is only a preparation. Maintain your faith, and you will get better than the American Dream. You will be blessed with your Heavenly Dream.
