The End of Your World?

I’ve been reading through a lot of my old blog posts tonight. Every now and then, I do this. I sit here and I reminisce through the good, bad, and the ugly that has been my life. It’s inspiring to me to see how far I’ve come. It’s refreshing to me to remember things the kids have said and done. It’s like a small revelation …

Spirituality & Who You Lean On

A year ago, I had a horrible experience with another ministry “leader” which I allowed to completely compromise my spirit. I allowed bitterness and confusion and resentment and anger fester and infect my mind. I allowed the putrid effects of someone else’s spite penetrate my heart and start a downward spiral that left me secretly questioning everything around me. I found comfort in a friend …

Disagreements

The odd thing about disagreements is that everyone involved thinks they’re right… perspective influences perception and when it comes to matters of raw emotion, however you perceive things to be is how they are – to you. That’s your reality. Even so, no matter how passionate you may be, there is no convincing anyone who doesn’t agree that you’re right because there’s no convincing them …

How To Change the World

This morning, I saw a tweet about Saddleback’s online campus. For those who are unaware, Saddleback church was created by Rick Warren using his amazing church model, which is wrote about in his book Purpose Driven Church which now is an official ministry of Saddleback Church and actually has its own website with awesome content. I clicked the link and listened to Rick’s Sermon, which …

Holy Trinity & Creationism vs. Evolutionism

A while back, I asked it anyone would like to read my papers for my Biblical Background and Interpretation / Principles of Theology {Holy Trinity – December 2007} and Theological Writing and Research {Creationism vs. Evolutionism – October 2006} … I promised to post them, but never did. It’s been a few months, but better late than never – right? haha
Check them out if you’re …

There is Little That Compares To the Joy of Parenthood

Lately, I’ve been involving myself in so much that I let ‘busy’ get the best of me. This morning, I’m reflecting and enjoying all of the things that make being a mother worth all of the difficulty that accompanies the title. Parenting is not always easy… if it is, you’re not doing it correctly. The catch 22 there is that there IS no ‘right’ way …

Religion #Fail

Caught you off guard with that title, huh? Wonderful… at least it got you here. LOL
In my world, when I hear someone say, “I’m very religious,” I typically am rolling my eyes {on the inside} and wondering what judgmental string of babble is going to come flying through their lips next… Religion has a well-earned negative connotation. Religious people are some of the most hypocritical …

Vague, but Oddly Specific {He Hasn’t Given Up On Me}

I admit things have been a bit cuh-razy around here lately. I’ve had people ask me how I can be comfortable sharing so much or why I don’t mind putting all the hard times out there with the peaceful. I’ve not been criticized – I’m not saying that at all. :) Those of you who have inquired, I do definitely understand the perplexity and the …

I Know My Redeemer! (Wow!)

I haven’t cried in a while… but this did it. I can’t really put it into words… you’ll just have to watch the video. This is amazing… And such a powerful symbolism for how God is with us – how He is able when we are unable… capable when life incapacitates us. Oh, thank You, JESUS!

Dick and Rick Hoyt are a father-and-son team from Massachusetts …

FIRE in My BONES!

I’ve been working on this post for like a week… It’s hard to really solidify exactly what I want to say. It’s hard to find the verbiage to properly describe the things that are going on in my spirit… the stirring that I’m feeling. There are so many things that come together so flawlessly in my heart, but for once in my life, it’s nearly …
